State boys' volleyball poll

Moeller is ranked No. 1 in this week's boys' volleyball state poll. The Crusaders (13-0) have 30 first-place votes and 309 points overall. Second-place Hilliard Darby (one first-place vote) has 254 points.

La Salle is third (228), followed by fourth-place Elder (222), seventh-place St. Xavier (131) and 10th-place Lakota East (32).

McNicholas (18) and Purcell Marian (6) also received votes.

Moeller hosts St. Xavier in a rematch of the 2005 and '06 state championships on Tuesday night (May 1).

Coaches Classic tennis tourney

The Coaches Classic boys' tennis tournament starts Thursday and continues Saturday. The rain date is Friday. This tournament has several teams from the area.
