Signing day is Wednesday

Several St. Xavier student-athletes will sign national letters of intent when the school holds a signing ceremony at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday.

There are expected to be more than a dozen football players from the Bombers’ Division I state championship (15-0 record) expected to sign Wednesday.

“That’s the obvious goal of a college prep school like St. X, to prepare the students for college,” St. X athletic director John Sullivan said.

“All of these young men are well-prepared and they’ve worked very hard to get this opportunity. The schools recruiting them are getting players who know how to win on and off the field of play and who will continue to work hard to become even better athletes and, more importantly, better men. We’re proud of them and excited to see where these opportunities take them.”
