Lakota West Baseball/Softball Golf Outing

A press release from Todd Hummer at Lakota West:

The Lakota West baseball and softball programs are holding the 3rd annual golf outing at the Beckett Ridge Country Club on Sunday, October 7th.

It has been announced that Reds favorite Jeff Brantley will be the event's guest speaker. Brantley pitched in the Major League's from 1988-2001 for the Giants, Reds, Cardinals, Phillies, and Rangers and was an All-Star in 1990 as a Giant. He was also named the National League's Rolaids Relief Award Winner in 1996 as a Red. Since retiring from baseball, Brantley has worked for ESPN and now is part of the outstanding Play-by-Play team for the Reds.

You may have heard Brantley on WLW or seen him on Fox Sports-Ohio.Brantley has ties with the Lakota West baseball program as Firebird coach Bill Dreisbach was a bullpen catcher for the Reds in the mid 90's.Dreisbach is thrilled that his old friend will be speaking at the event.

"Jeff is a very generous person to take the time out of his very busy schedule to make this happen," Dreisbach said. "He has made a huge sacrifice to be here and after a long season announcing and we really appreciate it. This speaks volumes for the type of person Jeff is."

Anyone is welcome to golf in the outing, the cost is $400/foursome. If only interested in dinner and hearing Mr. Brantley speak, tickets can be purchesed for $15.00 per person. Email Questions to bill.dreisbach@lakotaonline.com
