Final Hacks Fab 5 Basketball Poll

The regular season came to an end this past weekend and we have posted our final Fab 5 basketball poll of the year. Teams that ended up No. 1 are:

Elder and Wyoming in the Cincinnati boys' large-school/small school divisions and Bishop Brossart in NKY boys.

Oak Hills and Badin in the Cincinnati girls' large-school/small school divisions and Notre Dame in NKY.

I have to admit that for the first time in several years there is not an overwhelming No. 1 team in any division. You could make a strong case for several teams.

Brossart locked up the top spot this past Friday by going on the road and beating No. 2 Covington Catholic. Very impressive.

Also impressive was Elder going on the road last Tuesday and beating a strong 17-2 Alter team, which ultimately gave them the nod over Moeller.

Cincinnati has several strong DI girls' teams in Oak Hills, Lakota West and Mt. Notre Dame. Flip a quarter.
