Big week for prep sports

If you are a high school sports fan, then this is certainly one of your favorite weeks of the year.

In Ohio, there will be several area football teams playing this weekend in the regional semifinals. Two games at Paul Brown Stadium will highlight four of the best Division I teams in the area on Saturday when Colerain plays Moeller at 2 p.m., followed by St. Xavier vs. Centerville at 5 p.m.

Starting Tuesday, the soccer state semifinals begin and the state finals are this weekend in Columbus. The girls' volleyball state semifinals begin Friday and conclude Saturday at Wright State University.

In Kentucky, the football playoffs begin Friday and the cross country state championships in Lexington are Saturday.
